Join The Ethos: Our Vetting Process
We Don't Hire Resumes. We Vet Character.
ETHOS FIDELIS is not currently expanding with open roles. We are, however, always scouting for the 1-in-1,000 "Survivor-Analyst" - the rare individuals who can translate their lived experience into high-level strategic insights.
Our vetting is a three-round process designed to find character, analytical capability, and integrity. We do not tolerate toxic behaviour or arrogance; we hire for precision and respect.
Round 1: The Application & Integrity Screen
This is the initial paper screen to ensure alignment on core requirements.
How to Apply (Round 1):
Please submit your CV and application materials via the official contact form on our website.
Crucial:
All applications must be addressed personally to Fidel Strub
In your application, you must clearly state the specific lived experience (e.g., disease, disability, or chronic condition) you would bring to the team. We are not looking for a detailed medical history, but a clear identifier of your core expertise.
We do not read standard motivational letters.
We are looking for evidence of resilience, critical perception, and analytical thinking.
We recognize that lived experience and systemic barriers can create gaps in a traditional CV.
We are not looking for a conventional "track record"; we are looking for how you think.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
Swiss Domicile:
To simplify administrative and legal processes during our current operational phase, all applicants must hold a valid Swiss domicile (residence permit).
We are not able to accommodate international applications at this time.Clean Criminal Record.
Recent Debt Record:
We assess this individually, understanding that medical debt or systemic barriers are not moral failures.Language Proficiency:
We require Advanced Professional Fluency in English. Our strategic work and legal contracts are conducted at the highest levels of international pharma. You must be able to defend, critique, and articulate complex ideas (e.g., biomechanics, ethics, policy) with precision and nuance under pressure.
Note: We are testing for this ability, not a specific certificate.
Substance Policy:
This is a high-trust, safety-sensitive role involving confidential Pharma IP.
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for impairment from non-prescribed substances in the workplace.
Round 2: The Mutual Assessment Day
If your Round 1 application is successful, you will be invited to our full-day (7-8 hour) Mutual Assessment Day.
This is where we assess your "Simulator" skill. Traditional interviews test your script; we test your character and analytical mind in real-world environments. It will typically involve:
A train ride (to test your comfort with silence).
Public walking (to test situational awareness).
Coffee in a casual setting.
Lunch in a professional business setting (to test social/environmental grace under pressure).
Dress Code for Round 2:
We ask you to wear your best professional business attire. A formal suit or dress is not required if you do not own one, but a high standard of professional presentation is expected.
All expenses for the day are, of course, covered by ETHOS FIDELIS.
Round 3: The Final Reference Check
We conduct the reference check after the Assessment Day to ensure our evaluation of you is free from external bias.
If the Assessment Day is mutually successful, we will request two (2) professional references.
This check is our most important filter against toxicity.
We will call your references to speak specifically about your behavior in a team, your collegiality, and your conduct under pressure.
A formal offer is contingent upon this final check.
